Patrick Flores
Patrick (b. 1986) is a Los Angeles–based photographer working between documentary observation and fine art. His photographs explore public life as a place of ritual, performance, coincidence, and spectacle.
His current work explores the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit, looking at the ways individuals and communities are shaped by the visual, cultural, and social environments around them. Moving through streets, neighborhoods, festivals, and public spaces, Flores is drawn to moments when people seem to merge with their surroundings—when architecture, ritual, gesture, technology, and chance combine to create unexpected scenes.
His earlier work focused on abstraction and architecture, interests that continue to inform his approach to composition, geometry, and visual structure.
